New Twitter Design: Twitter Photo Collage & Tagging Features

Twitter has rolled out yet another exciting feature of the new Twitter design. They have already rolled out the new Twitter layout changes, a mute option and advertising with Twitter cards; now the photo collage and tagging features are available.

New-Twitter
New Twitter design features the ability to create photo collages and tag up to 10 people in a single tweet.

Twitter Photo Collage: Tweeps will now have the ability to include up to four photos in a single tweet which appear directly in the newsfeed as a mini collage. Images can be viewed larger by clicking on the collage and then easily swiping through the photos similar to Facebook. Photos are easy to upload on Android, iPhone and Twitter.com.

The images will be directly in the tweet. Select the photos in the order you would like them to appear. If only selecting 3 the first photo will be larger in the collage.

Photo Tagging: Just as exciting as the ability to create photo collages is the ability to tag people in photos without affecting characters! We can tag up to 10 people and still have the full 140 characters to tweet! People tagged in a photo will receive a notification and can re-tweet the tweet to have the photo on their own profile page.

Tags do not appear directly in the tweet; between the tweet and the photo everyone tagged in the photo is listed.

What do you think about the new photo collage and tagging features? Is Twitter trying to copy Facebook by becoming a better photo platform?
